  • Still a low on declarations as more reporters make appearances

    Since my last post, there still hasn't been a flurry of declarations that has been promised. As it stands, the Conservatives are looking set to fulfill the prediction of the exit poll with a substantial lead over Labour in the final result.

    There have been a couple of high profile guests joining David Dimbleby and the team - notably Theresa May in the studio and Alan Johnson down the line.

    Numerous BBC presenters have been reporting from counts across the country - Anita Anand, Samira Ahmed, Patrick Burns (BBC Midlands Today's Political Editor) and Robert Peston appeared in the studio with the latest economic implications of the results.

    Nick Robinson soldiered through until 1am, however his voice was clearly giving way and Andrew Marr arrived to relieve him from the studio and allow him to take a voice rest.
