Simon McCoy is at the top of the leaderboard, as Sophie takes a break from the program to cover on the BBC News at Six while George Alagiah takes leave from illness. Reeta Chakrabarti is a recently new face to the presenters chair and comes up 2nd for the title.

Maxine Mawhinney comes 3rd after her appearances on the weekend lunchtime news on Saturday and Sunday, which now is no more following her move to a new slot on the News Channel from 2pm-7pm.

Jane Hill has been presenting the program 18 times now as a cover for Sophie which suits Jane as her shift begins just after the One at 2pm. Clive Myrie is too a new face to the program since the move of the corporation to NBH, he has presented a dozen times now, after a one off appearance in February, he was given the role of presenting the One for nearly 2 weeks at the end of June.

Tim Willcox has made a number of appearances on the One on location for the French Alps plane crash, and too a couple of appearances for the weekend lunchtime news covering Maxine.

Nicholas Owen has made a couple appearances this year so far while doing his regular Sunday shift which he now seems to be cutting down quite a bit and seems to be leaving our screens soon.

Lyse Doucet presented the program once on location in France while covering the terrorist attacks that took place at the start of the year in January.

Huw Edwards also made one appearance so far presenting the program on location for the service in Auschwitz.

Gavin, Rachel, Rebecca, Adam, Christian, Shaun, Carole, Chris and Julian all make their few appearances from appearing on the News Channel during a weekend shift either covering for Maxine or Nicholas Owen

Quite a few names on the presenter count so far, which look like it could become the norm for the moment as George Alagiah is away from presenting for the time being.
