  • BBC News Presenter Count 2015: January-June: BBC Breakfast

So the time has come to bring you once again the totals for the first half of the year, starting with Breakfast. Now with the announcement that Naga is to become a main presenter there is not much of a surprise with the numbers.

    1. Charlie Stayt - 73

    2. Naga Munchetty - 70

    3. Louise Minchin - 63

    4. Bill Turnbull - 60

    5. Jon Kay - 27

    6. Sally Nugent - 26

    7. Roger Johnson - 13

    8. Sian Lloyd - 11

    9. Steph McGovern - 10

    10. Christian Fraser - 6

    11. John Maguire - 5

    12. Katherine Downes - 1

Charlie, Naga, Louise and Bill, all main presenters, remain the top 4. Louise & Bill on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Naga and Charlie on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Sunday shift remains to have no presenter allocated for this slot. Sunday did see a number of appearances from Naga with Jon Kay which makes him 5th. Jon Kay and Sally Nugent are clearly shown as the main relief presenters for the show.

Roger Johnson seems to have made a few appearances also on a Sunday as well as his appearances, most being in May around the time of the Election.

Sian Lloyd presented on Sundays for most of the time when Naga was not. Followed by Steph McGovern, Breakfast's business presenter, who presented nearly every day during a week in mid-March, as well as her regular appearance during the week for her Business segments, she also popped up for Sunday shows.

Christian Fraser has appeared a few times, even though he had a major role in the Election coverage on the BBC News channel. John Maguire too seems to have been brought in last minute for a few appearances, once a month up till May.

Back soon with the other national bulletins.
